Free Tastings at Murray's Cheese in Grand Central Next Week!

To celebrate Murray's Cheese's newly-expanded space at Grand Central Terminal’s Grand Central Market (www.grandcentralterminal.com), they will be hosting tastings of artisanal products throughout the month.

Larchmont Charcuterie Hot Dogs, Tasting September 21, 3-7 pm:  Hand-crafted in Westchester County, these hot dogs have an even, rich flavor and a snappy casing. Packages of 8 are $8.99 in store, on sale in September for $6.99. 

Creminelli Fresh Sausage, Tasting September 23, 3-7pm: Murray's is introducing New York to a new line of fresh sausage from famed salumi maker Cristiano Creminelli.  The 3 flavors (Tradizionale, Piccante and Porcini) are hand-crafted with heritage meat and organic spices.  On sale for $7.99 through the end of September.

The Hunger Series Volume 2 - Argentinian BBQ

The Hunger Series is a pop-up themed restaurant concept developed by Top Chef alum Camille Becerra and hospitality gurus Alan Philips and Josh Shames of SKY Group.

The core focus of The Hunger concept is to create memorable culinary and social moments that exist briefly and then disappear. 

The evenings will be set up like a fabulous dinner party, where all guests sit at the same time and simultaneously share an evening. A moment in time similar to the many great moments that take place every day in New York, and then fade out as quickly as they popped up.   Kinda of like the supper clubs happening around the city...except these are open to everyone!

This edition will feature a delicious asado style Argentinean BBQ from Monday, August 2^nd until Friday, August 6th at The Yard at The Soho Grand Hotel (310 West Broadway).   Reservations are $65 per person, which includes tax and tip and seating will take place each night between 6pm and 10:30pm.  For more information or to reserve your seat, visit thehungernyc.com.

Free Bagels tomorrow morning in Union Square!

Signature Tuesdays at Vintage Irving - Begins July 28

A deal to look forward to after NYC restaurant week - Vintage Irving is launching an interactive tasting program every Tuesday this summer from 7pm to 9pm beginning July 28th.

$25 bucks will get you a menu of 2-3 courses and cocktail pairings of highly seasonal, local fare presented by chef Jason Bunin who will also lead an interactive and educational discussion on the food and preparation.

The series will take place on a weekly basis, each week with a new original menu of a selection of sweet and savory offerings.

The first menu on July 28th will feature options such as artisan blue cheese with homemade quince paste, duck prosciutto and drunken goat cheese bathed in Rioja, and a Truffled Honey Ricotta Cheese, each presented on freshly baked baguettes with wine pairings.
