Yummy@Home Coffee- Porto Rico Importing Company

Porto Rico CoffeeWith some of the most affordable prices in town and one of the largest selections of coffee beans, Porto Rico Importing Company in the West Village is the place to go for the freshest beans to make the perfect cup of mornin'joe.

As soon as you enter the door you will know what I mean as the welcoming aroma quickly overwhelms the senses and true coffee lovers will think they have entered beantown heaven.

Established in 1907, Porto Rico offers a rich variety of coffees from around the world with a special emphasis on organic, fair trade and shade-grown coffees.

Flavored coffees include anything from French Tiramisu, Cinnamon Orange and Vanilla Almond, to regional blends like Kenya Peaberry and Mexican Altura.

Beans can be ground on the premises to your liking depending on what kind of coffee maker you use - french press or traditional. Coffee lasts around 2 weeks or you can store it in the refrigerator or freezer to extend its shelf life (instructions are conveniently written on the back of the bag).

Most blends are priced at around $6.99/lb to $9.99/lb with some special exotic blends priced a bit higher.

There is an online store for easy shopping, but I suggest taking a trip to the Bleecker street shop if only to see first hand the awesome array of yummy coffees.
